The iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad Auto-Lock Feature

I hear complaints from my students all the time regarding issues of locking and/or unlocking devices. The first complaint relates to the short amount of time before the device's screen dims and locks. This video shows the steps necessary to modify the default time before the screen dims, also known as the Auto-Lock feature.

Another complaint relates to Windows Mobile devices and the fact that many of them don't automatically lock. Students often place Windows Mobile-based smartphones or PDAs in their purse or pocket and, as a result, screens get accidentally touched, programs get opened, or phones get dialed. This video shows the steps involved in locking a Windows Mobile device.
